Join the March Break Fun at North Highlands Nordic!

Visit North Highlands Nordic this March break to enjoy activities for all ages in a festive atmosphere. Enjoy your time on the trails and relax in front of the chiminea or inside the new chalet afterwards. All fees are reduced by 50% for the weekdays, Monday through Friday. View accommodations.

North Highlands Nordic offers 12 km of trails with a 16′ wide groom, for classic skiing with a double track-set, skate skiing, and snowshoeing; in Cape North, Cape Breton. The trail system offers terrain for all abilities, including challenging hills, rolling terrain, and gentle flats. This nordic centre offers world-class views of the Aspy fault and harbour. You will also experience the friendly and welcoming environment.

MARCH	ACTIVITY	TIME	DETAILS
SAT-11	Cookie race	10 AM	Every racer wins an edible “cookie medal” and a keepsake medal. $5 registration fee. Ages 3-5 years.
	Lasagna supper	4 PM	Dine in or take-out at the NHN nordic centre. Includes lasagna, garlic bread and dessert. $20 adults, $10 children. All proceeds go towards NHN groomer attachment.
SUN-12	Ski loppet	1 PM	A fun event! Skiers of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend. Distances: 5 km, 10.5 km and 21 km. Classic or skate technique. Registration includes post-loppet meals and a chance at draw prizes. Register. View more details.
TUES-14	Crazy costume day	All day	We will be looking for the most crazy costume to entertain everyone and win a prize. We will announce the costume winner by 3 PM.
	Tea and Ski	10 AM	Meet at the NHN nordic centre for regularly scheduled tea and ski social. Bring your lunch and be ready to have a visit after your outing.
FRI-17	St Patrick’s day	All day	Wear your greenest greens. Have fun being outside, sit by the chiminea and roast some marshmallows.
	BBQ & live music		Stay for a BBQ and music!
SAT-18	Jackrabbits fun day	10 AM – 12 PM	After the regularly scheduled Jackrabbit lessons get ready for some fun, games, and a race! H
	Snowshoe loppet	7 PM	Challenge yourself to a fun “race” with NHN’s first evening snowshoe loppet! Distance, 5 km. Fee $20, rentals and snacks included.
