Cross-country ski clubs bring “outdoor-minded” people together. Nova Scotia clubs maintain expertly groomed and marked trails; providing a safe place for beginners to learn. Clubs also host social events, races, and offer programs for all ages and abilities. Additional activities may include: roller-skiing, nordic walking, snowshoeing, weekly social skis, and group trips. Connect with new and old friends at your local club this winter. Cross-country ski clubs operate by set policy. We are grateful for club volunteers who work tirelessly to motivate others to find enjoyment in our sport. Club functions include:
· Programs. Provide ski programs for all ages and abilities.
· Equipment. Offer rental equipment options.
· Events + Races. Organize social events, equipment exchanges, races all levels, and club trips.
· Manage Trail Systems. Groom trails, post trail location signs, and trail maintenance.
· Administration. Provide membership and governance.
· Insurance. Coordinate liability insurance coverage for members through Nordiq Canada.
