Improve your technique and join a group of like-minded skiers!

Cross Country Nova Scotia, Ski de Fond / Cross Country New Brunswick and Nordiq Canada are delivering a regional Masters Ski Development workshop at Les Aventuriers de Charlo, in Charlo, New Brunswick, on January 18 – 21, 2024. The purpose of the workshop is to create a regional group of like-minded skiers who are interested in developing a community of master skiers who want to develop and improve their skiing technique. The workshop will be facilitated by Stephen Novosad, Nordiq Canada’s coach development manager.

Stephen Novosad is responsible for designing and delivering coach development training across Canada. Novosad is a passionate, knowledgeable and enthusiastic facilitator who has 40 years of coaching experience. This past spring, Stephen facilitated a coach development workshop at North Highlands Nordic in Cape North, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Stephen brought an infectious energy to the camp along with incredible knowledge of ski technique.  Everyone came away with big new insights about technique and approaches to coaching. Stephen will deliver the latest information on skating and classic techniques. The workshop is offered as four days or two days, fees are $150 and $100 respectively.

Availability

Workshops with availability include: Sat-Sun (1 spot available), and Thurs-Sun (2 spots available). The Thur-Fri (2 days) option is sold-out. You are invited to join a waitlist, if your preferred dates are not available. The waitlist can be accessed via the Zone4 registration link.

Participants are responsible for their own lodging and meals. The organizers have booked the Chalet located onsite at Les Aventuriers de Charlo, which includes 12 beds, washroom facilities with showers, and a common kitchen; fee is $35.00 per night.  The chalet is ski-in ski-out and located conveniently at the trailhead close to the parking lot. It also features a great room with a stone fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Additional accommodations include The Herons Nest Cottages in Charlo and many hotels in the Campbellton area.

A minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 24 participants are required.
