Cross-country skiing is the ultimate lifelong sport for health and fitness. For some adults, there is nothing better than hitting the trails with friends or family. It’s also your ticket to the woods, to enjoy the solitude of nature, independently. Clubs offer regular events, such as North Highlands Nordic’s weekly “Tea and Ski”. Additionally, there are many opportunities for skiers to race within our province. Check out our Calendar for all types of event listings.
Whether you are learning to ski or preparing to race competitively, your local Club can provide the coaching you need. Skiing is a low impact sport that can be learned at any age.
Supplement your training at Nordic Ski Lab (formerly XC Ski Nation), your online nordic ski school. XC Ski Lab partners with Nordiq Canada to offer videos, courses and drills to help you ski more efficiently. Membership fee is $33 USD/yr. Topics include:
· Biomechanics for performance and injury prevention
· Expert demos of all techniques
· Roller skiing drills and advice
· On snow drills and lessons for skiers of all levels
· Member-only forum

The CCNS Calendar will connect you with club social skis, along with regional and provincial events, including loppets. Ready to compete internationally? Contact the Canadian Masters Cross Country Ski Association.
