Skills Clinics
We offer skills clinics for able bodied and para nordic skiers of all ages and abilities. Schools and community groups are encouraged to book a skills clinic tailored to your requirements – we have a ski fleet available for rent, which is available with or without a coach or support staff. Ski Maintenance Workshops
Attend a ski maintenance workshop led by ski technician, Ike Whitehead, aka “that ski guy”. You’ll be in a fun group environment where you’ll learn simple techniques to take care of your skis – with opportunities to practice. Organizations are invited to book a workshop for your staff +/or volunteers. Learn More.

Club Highlights
North Highlands Nordic
Ski it to Believe It! The trail system is groomed with a PistenBully grooming tractor – to perfection – by volunteer Jamie Dixon, 2024 Volunteer of the Year Award recipient. During Heritage Day weekend we met skiers and snowshoers from Germany, Winnipeg, Dartmouth, Sydney, Margaree, Antigonish and area residents. Learn more about North Highlands Nordic.






Cape Breton Nordic
New program to be held three times per week, Active Outdoor Sports Initiative for Kids & Youth, starting Saturday, February 21. A Youth & Family Day was hosted during Heritage Day weekend with more than 40 participants who enjoyed skiing, fun and games! Learn more about Cape Breton Nordic.




Baddeck Nordic Club
Many ski and snowshoe events were hosted as part of the Baddeck Winter Festival, on February 14-15. Conditions are reported as excellent! Learn more about Baddeck Nordic Club.



Scotia XC Ski Club

Snow Report
View groomed trail conditions across the province. Conditions are re-posted daily from ski area websites. Links to trail locations, maps, trail profiles on TrailForks and more! There are numerous micro-climates in Nova Scotia – while your front lawn may be green, groomed trails could be just a car ride away.

Ski Team News
February Racing
Keep an eye out for racers Jasper Gorwa and Suzanne Jackson competing at Nova Scotia Provincial Championships, February 21-22, at North Highlands Nordic. Cohen Norman and ski team alumni Sircom-Brown and Fiona McClure earned spots on their respective university teams to compete at the Ontario University Athletics Nordic Skiing Championships (Zone4), February 20-22.
Free NCCP Coaching Courses + E-Learning Modules
Sport Nova Scotia is announcing that free NCCP Competition Introduction and Competition Development coaching courses have been scheduled for January to April 2026. Free codes are also available for coaches wishing to complete the following e-learning modules in the NCCP Locker:
– Sport Nutrition
– Creating Positive Sport Environments
– Coaching Initiation
– Leading Drug-Free Sport
– Coaching Athletes with a Disability
