Cross Country Nova Scotia is offering a regional cross-country ski workshop at North Highlands Nordic, located in Cape North, Cape Breton Island, from February 7-9, for beginner-through-intermediate skiers to learn and improve their skate and classic skiing techniques; featuring Nordiq Canada’s Stephen Novosad, 40 year instructor, and our beloved CCNS coaches, including: John Cameron, John Graham, David Hubley, Linda Murray, and Michelle Richards. The fee is $75, which includes trail passes and weekend instruction. Accommodation costs are the responsibility of participants. Register on Zone4, by January 15, 2025.
The workshop is designed to target skiers of all abilities in both skate and classic disciplines. We encourage beginners, who want to get comfortable and safe on their skis, to take part. The course will also benefit seasoned beginners, who may have skied for several years and want to ski more efficiently. Intermediate skiers will value learning to use appropriate techniques to ski more efficiently on various types of terrain. Our team of instructors will help you feel welcome, and you’ll learn new techniques through individual and group instruction; it’s going to be a time!
We are excited to welcome skiers of all abilities! You should expect to improve your technique, ski and socialize with like-minded people, build new friendships, and experience the warm hospitality of Cape North and the folks at North Highlands Nordic.
