CBC Mainstreet NS – Emma Archibald, 2023 CWG Competitor

Emma Archibald, provincial team para-nordic skier, shares her excitement about competing at the upcoming 2023 Canada Winter Games; on CBC Mainstreet NS with host, Jeff Douglas.

Background

Archibald has been on the provincial team for three years and competes as a para-nordic skier (no pole, standing skier classification). She is currently in her second year of full-time studies at the University of Ottawa – pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing. This season marks her second season competing for the uOttawa GeeGees Nordiq Ski Team, she also has the honour of being the team’s assistant captain. Archibald was also named to the National Para-Nordic Prospects Team.

The nineteen year old has accomplished many firsts as a Nova Scotia para-nordic skier including: being named to the Nova Scotia Provincial Team, competing on a university ski team, and being named to the National Prospects Team. A trailblazer in our province for para-nordic skiing.
