Information Session

The Scotia XC Ski Club masters group is aimed at (but not restricted to) club members age 50 and over wanting to ski with others on weekdays for fun, fitness, and technique improvement (skate and classic).

Our outings will be to local areas groomed by Scotia XC such as Brunello, Graves-Oakley, Oakfield, Dollar Lake, MacDonald Sports Park, Kentville, Dill Farm (Windsor) and Greenwood. We’ll also ski at Victoria Park in Truro (which is groomed by the town). Depending on interest and snow conditions, occasionally we will go farther afield to Kouchibouguac, Miramichi, Bathurst and Charlo in New Brunswick, and North Highlands Nordic at Cape North, Cape Breton for multi-day outings. To help us kick-off the new season we are holding a masters group information session at The Links at Brunello (pavilion) on Wednesday, November 30 from 2-4pm. (Brunello is just off Highway 103 at Exit #3.) We’ll cover such topics as the benefits of joining Scotia XC, how to get instruction (skate and classic), where to buy or rent gear, ski outings and basic waxing.
