National Coaches Week is a week to celebrate the tremendous positive impact our ski coaches have on athletes and communities across Nova Scotia. It’s an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play by simply saying #ThanksCoach. An initiative coordinated by the Coaching Association of Canada.
Our cross-country ski club coaches volunteer their time to ensure children, adults, and seniors learn to ski more proficiently and gain enjoyment from our sport. Weekly youth lessons ignite greater appreciation for the outdoors, passion for skiing, and help our young skiers gain self confidence. If your son or daughter has enjoyed youth programs, please take the time to recognize the coaches behind all of the fun – we couldn’t do it without them. Likewise, if you have enjoyed an adult program or have been helped informally by a volunteer coach, be sure to celebrate their volunteer efforts.
