Post Secondary Ski Options

Overview

Competitive skiers ages 16 to 23 are challenged to find balance between academics and athletics.  Cross Country Nova Scotia acknowledges the importance and complexity of these years.

We would like to ensure that skiers contemplating post-secondary education and competitive skiing, are assisted by the information compiled by Nordiq Canada.  A list of “Post-Secondary Ski Options” and a Student Athlete Guide have been developed.

Post Secondary Ski Options

Many options exist to pursue academics and competitive cross-country skiing while attending Canadian post-secondary institutions.

Contents

-Canadian Universities that offer or support XC ski teams / programs

-Clubs that are located in close proximity to universities / educational institutions and that currently have post-secondary athletes

-National Development Centres in Canada

Note: This list is not exhaustive, nor is the information complete.  It does, however, present a snapshot of the options available and a brief description of the programs available to provide some initial guidance.  We encourage athletes and parents to contact the coaches and program coordinators to understand the specifics of the programs offered to better determine the program fit against each individual’s goals.
