Oh my goodness! Plan to spend your March break at North Highlands Nordic. Join a variety of activities planned from March 8 – 16, with special events for the youngest of participants through grand master. Remember, this nordic centre has rental equipment available, a new ski chalet, meals available to purchase at set times, state-of-the-art new PistenBully tractor style groomer, 12 km groomed trails, helpful staff and volunteers to welcome you and help you on your way, and the finest hospitality – bar none.

2019 Cookie Race
You don’t want to miss this! Nova Scotia’s only race dedicated to our youngest skiers. Bring your little one to participate in the event, or come out to cheer if you don’t have a little one… your heart will grow a few sizes bigger by the end of this event. North Highlands Nordic

At North Highlands Nordic, you’ll experience winter at its finest on the 12 km trail system, which includes terrain for all abilities. Trails are groomed by a new, state-of-the-art, PistenBully tractor style groomer, with 16′ wide groom for classic skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing. Enjoy the newly constructed nordic centre, Nova Scotia’s only dedicated ski chalet; which includes indoor washroom facilities, tables to relax and enjoy a break, and coffee/tea. Check their calendar for breakfast and lunch menus offered on select dates, as well as pub nights. Rental equipment includes skis, snowshoes and pulk (child’s sleigh). NHN is situated in a natural snowbelt and averages 393.1cm yearly snow accumulation (Environment Canada). The snow base has been known to last into April.
