Get ready for the snow with a free cross-country ski waxing session hosted by “That Ski Guy” (Ik3 Whitehead), on Sunday, December 15, from 1-3 pm; at the Kentville Rec Hub, Kentville, NS! No supplies or equipment are required for this hands-on session. Learn tips and tricks and get all your ski waxing questions answered. Perfect for skiers of all experience levels! Ski Technician Snapshot – Ike Whitehead

Workshops are voluntarily led by experienced ski technician, Ike Whitehead, also known as “that ski guy”. Whitehead is a ski enthusiast with more than fifty years in the sport. He welcomes every opportunity to assist groups with the basics, so that many will discover the joy of cross-country skiing.

Ike knows how to inspire! Through his workshops he brings in-depth knowledge and joy to the Keppoch. Laughter is common when he’s around. Ike usually has a great story at hand when he answers the many questions he gets about ski care, and this makes learning with him entirely relatable, fun, and memorable.

His love and passion for XC skiing is a source of great energy felt by all. You can see this in his eyes and his kind, welcoming smile. Resourceful, kind, reliable, and helpful are part of Ike’s DNA. The Keppoch shines even brighter when Ike is around.

We are thankful for Ike and look forward to his next visit. Atlantic Canada is lucky to have him!
