Nordiq Canada is excited to be partnering with CoASTaL Labs to present a three part online workshop on Coaching Masters Athletes. Dr. Bettina Callary of CoASTaL Labs will present on the topics listed below, on Oct 2, 3, and Nov 20; all sessions will start at 5pm MDT/8pm ADT. Fee is $100. Register using this link.
Dr. Callary is the Canada Research Chair in Sport Coaching and Adult Learning and a Professor in Sport and Physical Activity Leadership (SPAL) and Community Studies at Cape Breton University, in Nova Scotia, Cape Breton, Canada.
Background – Dr. Bettina Callary
Dr. Callary is the Canada Research Chair in Sport Coaching and Adult Learning and a Professor in Sport and Physical Activity Leadership (SPAL) and Community Studies at Cape Breton University, in Nova Scotia, Canada. Her research interests includes coach education, learning, and development pertaining to coaches of Masters athletes as well as understanding how pedagogy influences athlete and student learning, psycho-social wellbeing, and community. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Sport Coaching Journal. Dr. Callary and her colleague, Dr. Gearity, published the foundational book for coach developers: Coach Education and Development in Sport: Instructional Strategies, published by Routledge 2020. Bettina is also an alpine ski coach for Masters and youth.
