Skiers of all ages are invited to a pop-up ski, in a casual and social environment, on Sun, Feb 11, from 2:30 pm – 4 pm, at The Links at Brunello, driving range. Join Kat Kitching, who will be offering instructional tips for classic and skate skiing techniques. Kitching is a CANSI and Nordiq Canada certified instructor. This event is geared towards beginner to advanced skiers. Participants should have the following minimal skills: ability to put on equipment, descend gentle hills, and get up from a fall. Please bring your own gear. Note, The Links at Brunello has equipment available to rent.
There is no program fee. Cross Country Nova Scotia is proud to present this event. Trail access fees are required and can be purchased on-site, $10 for two hours, at the Brunello Golf Shop. Scotia XC Ski Club members have trail access fees included in their membership.
The event will take place at the driving range, which includes a flat rectangular-shaped area that is groomed and allows for multi-directional skiing; there is also a groomed 1 km loop, which includes descents and climbs to practice.
The Links at Brunello offers a dining experience at Nineteen, which is located in the main club house building, beside the parking lot. Participants are welcome to enjoy a meal or hot drink afterwards.
