Municipalities Support Skiing

by Cross Country Nova Scotia, Staff, July 24, 2021 (Updated Jan 3, 2025)

Municipalities across the province support cross-country skiing by providing rental or equipment loans, try-it events, and groomed trails. Keep your local recreation departments and libraries in mind, in addition to cross-country ski clubs, when planning your next outing! Keep an eye on the CCNS calendar and check directly with your municipality for upcoming “try it skiing” events.

Equipment Loans

There are many options to rent and borrow ski equipment. Some cross-country ski clubs offer members seasonal rentals at very reasonable rates, and may offer daily rentals to visiting skiers. Municipalities coordinate equipment loans for daily and multi-day use, to residents within their communities. Rentals are also available through libraries and businesses. Contact your selected location directly for details!
